Boris Sveshnikov

Boris Sveshnikov was a Moscow based abstractionist. He was arrested at age 19 for suspicious activities regarding eliminating Joseph Stalin. After his release Boris returned to Moscow and became a painter/illustrator. His style is referred to as Socialist Realism. His work tends to be macabre and reveal tombstones and paranoid people.

Caspar David Friedrich
Caspar David Friedrich was a German Romantic Landscape painter. This painting is called "cross". He created landscape paintings which reflected landscapes for there subject matter. He rarely added other subjects into his artwork.
